Personal attention to your details
KR Hess Law’s estate plans are tailored to our clients’ individual needs, desires, and personal circumstances. Kristina works with you to create a comprehensive plan that allows you to control your assets, plan for life’s contingencies, avoid probate, and minimize taxes while passing on your legacy to future generations.
Relationships for life
With the traditional estate practice, you will get documents once and never hear from the lawyer again. If you create a will, trust or other estate planning documents once then forget them, they are not going to work when your assets, your family or the law changes.
Kristina wants to be your family’s trusted advisor for life. KR Hess Law periodically reviews your plan to make sure it will work when your loved ones need it. KR Hess Law even offers a membership program for ongoing and affordable legal access so these changes don't get put off until someday.
Up-front, flat fees only
KR Hess Law has thrown out the time clocks. No more billing in the six minute increments that most lawyers do. All fees are agreed to in advance on a flat-fee basis so you will never have any surprises. Nor will you be afraid to call your lawyer to get much needed advice. KR Hess Law encourages clients to contact them with questions or concerns.
Creating Legacies that Last
At KR Hess Law we have partnered with Sunbridge and provide a system for passing on your intangible assets to future generations—your faith, your wealth of wisdom, your values, your family history, stories, and your life experiences. Your wealth is so much richer than just money.

Kristina Hess, J.D., M.A.
Estate Planning Attorney and Mediator
Kristina Hess graduated from Berkeley Law and has been practicing for over 13 years. Kristina began her legal career at premier, international firms in San Francisco. When her family moved to the East coast, Kristina practiced in New Jersey and extended her training in Mediation at Pepperdine’s Straus Institute and Harvard. She worked resolving litigation, family business, real estate, and trust and estate disputes until moving back to San Diego.
Kristina has combined her passion for law and mediation in her San Diego estate planning firm. Kristina’s mission is to empower and equip families to protect their wealth, provide for and protect their minor children, and to create legacies that last by passing on more than material wealth to future generations.
Kristina’s goal is to be your family’s trusted advisor and to assist you in making the best legal, financial, and business decisions throughout your life and to be there to guide your loved ones when you cannot.
A mother of three boys, Kristina enjoys playing soccer, tennis, swimming, and going to the beach. Kristina has volunteered as an advisory board member for the Boys & Girls Club Montessori School, raised funds for her local church, and coached youth soccer.
Kristina would love to speak with you to see if she is a good fit as your family's personal estate planning attorney. Because of the lifetime relationship KR Hess Law forms with our clients, we only engage a limited number of new clients each year.
